Jeff Lamoureux is the Greene County High School cross-country coach for both girls and boys. Lamoureux is a guest tonight at 6 o’clock on the PM Sports Magazine KG98 Edition. He’ll talk about both teams and how their seasons have gone to this point. The next meet for the Rams is the Leon Fox Coed Invitational at the Perry Golf & Country Club course just north of that community this Thursday.

The Rams are coming off a solid boys’ performance at last Thursday’s Roland-Story Norsemen Invitational at Story City’s River Bend Golf Course. The Rams were eighth among 13 teams running without one of their top five runners due to illness. Lamoureux said although eighth may not look impressive he thinks the seven teams that finished ahead of Greene County in that meet all could be running at the 2024 State Meet to end the season.

A minor injury shrunk the Rams to just four female runners at the R-S meet, not enough for a team score.
