A 28-0 road loss to Kuemper Catholic at Carroll Athletic Stadium on Friday night by the Greene County Rams dropped Coach Caden Duncan’s team to 2-3 on the high school football season. The Rams are 1-1 in Class 2A District 8 while the Knights, ranked fifth, improved to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in the district.
The Rams face another very good opponent this Friday when Roland-Story visits Linduska Field in Jefferson in District 8 play. The Norsemen are 3-2 and 1-1 with losses to Class 3A Nevada and in overtime to Kuemper Catholic. Both of those teams are 4-1 on the season.
The Norsemen averaged 34.6 points a game on offense and they allow average of 11.8 on defense. The Rams will be trying to bounce back not only from the loss to the Knights, but R-S put up the points on the Rams in Story City last season, 62-31.
