One of Perry’s manufacturing companies, Progressive Foundry, is in the midst of enhancing their facility.
Vice President of Sales Jackson Vankirk tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the organization has been expanding over the past five years. He says that acquiring a portion of 2nd Street behind the building allowed Progressive Foundry to continue growing as a company. Vankirk explains the types of upgrades that came from that decision.
“We completely redid all of our locker rooms and our entire employee center, so now everybody has their own showers, state of the art locker rooms, everybody has their own lockers for both men and women, (and) new foreman’s office, so everyone is just a little bit more comfortable around here. And then when we did that, we also redid our entire office space too.”
Vankirk adds that new equipment is being installed at Progressive Foundry, specifically 40,000-45,000 square feet of underroof coverage. He describes that the employees are reacting well to the changes.
