In the recent US Drought Monitor Report, the counties of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area remained in the same conditions as the last report.

Dallas, Greene and Guthrie Counties are all facing abnormally dry conditions in all areas of each county. According to the National Weather Service, Perry has seen 1.47 inches of rain, and usually records 2.85 inches. Jefferson has reported 0.55 inches and usually sees 2.86 inches, while Guthrie Center has recorded 0.29 inches of precipitation, and usually sees three inches.
