Today is the final day of the Friends of the Jefferson Library Fall Used Book Sale and they are having a special.
Library Director Jane Millard says it is Bargain Day where people can receive a brown paper bag and they can fill it up with any items for purchase for only $5. Additionally, all items are also half off in price. Millard talks about how popular Bargain Day has been in the past.
“Considering you can get books for all ages and other items, it’s not hard to fill up that bag. It’s one of the best, most fun times for us as librarians (and) as Friends of the Library too to see people lined up at the door. And they do that on the first day and they do that on the last day.”
The sale takes place in the basement of the library from 9am-1pm. All proceeds go back to the Friends for additional purchases for the library.
