An exciting new project will begin in the City of Adel on Sunday.

Back on September 5th, Eagle Scout Austen Ireland was presented a $350 check from the Adel Rotary Club to help build a brand new GaGa Ball Pit at Evans Park in Adel. According to Austen’s father, Matt, the construction was supposed to start on September 21st, but was postponed due to a personal family matter. 

Matt tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Austen was inspired by his older brother Mitchell, who first created a pit at Kinnick-Feller Park. The construction is set to get underway on Sunday at Evans Park from 2-5pm. Matt comments that ironically, Austen will celebrate his 17th birthday that day as well.
