Now that fall has started, people need to prepare for the weather that comes with the season.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Marvin Percha says that as cooler weather starts becoming more prevalent, some individuals may need to take some extra steps to make sure they’re ready for the lower temperatures. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that one place people need to double check is their homes.
“Well, certainly one of the things you want to do is make sure your weather stripping is ready. Maybe this might be a good time to schedule a tune up or a maintenance visit for your HVAC system as well.”
Percha mentions that cooler temperatures and the weather that comes with it, like snow later on in winter, can also cause issues with some vehicles. He adds that to prevent this, it’s also a good idea to make sure your vehicles are ready for the cold as well.
