Coach Jeff Lamoureux’s Greene County High School cross-country teams are in action today at the 37th Norsemen Invitational in Story City hosted by Roland-Story on the River Bend Golf Course. The Rams are among 13 cross-country programs in the field.
Senior Noah Hinote is a two-time State Meet qualifier who has led the boys throughout the season. Hinote has placed eleventh or higher in every meet so far for the Rams, and sophomore Brady Carstensen has been a solid number two for the Greene County boys.
The Greene County girls are led by freshman Rylee Mowrer. Coach Lamoureux has had enough girls run in the last two meets to qualify for a team score. A lack of participants on the girls’ side has been an issue in recent seasons for the girls.
