The top two rushers in Class 2A District 8 will be on display at Carroll Athletic Field on Friday night when the Greene County Rams face the Knights of Kuemper Catholic in high school football. Ram senior Nicholas Stream has run the ball for 476 yards during a 2-2 first half of the season while sophomore Jarin Hoffman of the Knights has 445 yards on the ground for the 3-1 Knights. Kumper Catholic is ranked as high as number 5 in 2A, depending on the poll.
Stream has six rushing touchdowns this season and Hoffman has five. The yards per carry average favors Hoffman at 6.7 yards per carry while Stream is at an even six yards per carry. The Ram running back has a season long carry of 47 yards while the Knights sophomore has a long run so far this season of 36 yards.
