The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Volleyball team is returning to action tonight as they host a Raccoon River Conference game against Ballard, looking for win number 11.

Through 15 games, the Tigers are 10-5 on the 2024 season (3-0 RRC) as the Bombers come into Adel for Teacher Appreciation Night. Recently, ADM went 2-2 in the Southeast Polk Invitational, where they beat the Rams (of SE Polk) and Dallas Center-Grimes, then lost to Waukee Northwest and Pella. The Tigers defeated North Polk in four sets last Tuesday, September 17th. ADM Head Coach Trevor Irwin talks about the areas they’ve been keying in on during the last week of practice.

“We’ve been working on different shots for our hitters, whether that’s tipping or having that power tip down the line, goal shots to the donut. So, we’ve working with all of our outside hitters and then with our middles to secure some different opportunities for them, and make sure that we have plenty of practice with our hitters, and then also with our team and our serve receive, we’ve been just working on our first ball contact.”

The Tigers lead the historical series 15-1 over the Bombers, by winning the last three. The match tonight will set off from Adel at 7:15pm.
