Saturday the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center High School Marching Band competed in the Creston Balloon Days Competition, and came in first place.

Band Director Kyra Babcock says that the band competed against two other schools in their Class, and claimed the top spot. AC/GC came in 1st place with 400 points, while Lenox High School fell just behind with 397, and Southwest Valley High School came in third with 357 points. Babcock mentions that she’s proud of the kids, and excited for their next competition in a couple weeks, when they head down to Southwest Iowa for the Clarinda Band Jamboree to compete against even more bands.
