It is a major election year, with a general election coming up in November.
US Senator Chuck Grassley won’t have to run for his seat this year, as it’s not time for his term to be over. With that in mind, he shares what this coming October should look like for his schedule in Washington D.C.
“So for me, I’ll be holding a few official meetings in October, but I’ll also be helping my fellow Republicans in Iowa get reelected by going to their fundraisers, going to their house parties, things of that nature. And then when I’m not doing it for the candidates, I might be doing it for county Republican events.”
Grassley mentions that there should be a full month where the Senate is not in session during October due to the upcoming elections, and in November there should be two weeks of session.
