The AC/GC Chargers enjoyed their Homecoming week, with high quality performances in athletics.

The cross country teams were in action Thursday night at Panorama, where the boys took second and the girls also finished in the top five. Both teams had three athletes medal by placing in the top 20, and the boys team even placed higher than the number two team in Class 1A. The boys are currently ranked 8th in Class 1A, while the girls are currently ranked 11th, but when the new weekly rankings come out Tuesday, fans can expect the teams to be placed even higher.

The football team was the only other team in action, and they faced the South Central Calhoun Titans on Friday for the Homecoming game. The Chargers led 14-0 after the first quarter, then were tied 14-14 going into halftime. After the third AC/GC was up 21-14 coming off a 70+ yard rushing touchdown from senior fullback Mike Fuller, then finished the game with the 28-14 victory.
