Perry High School Students were out at the McCreary Recreation Center to assist with several projects for the school’s volunteer day.
For Homecoming Week, Perry students were off of school this past Wednesday for the annual volunteer day program. The event allows for students to aid in cleaning up around the community. This year, the students were at the McCreary Community Building to work on shining up certain areas.
According to Office Manager Jean Dowd, students participated in spraying down all toys and wiping down countertops in the Child Watch Area, pulling weeds on the Splash Pad, then swept the gym, cleaned the studio spaces, plus sprayed the fitness equipment in Studio 3 and 4 in the weight room. Approximately 30 students made the trip to the McCreary Community Building to offer their time.
