Thursday saw the Greene County girls and boys cross-country teams run at the Panorama Coed Invitational. Coach Jeff Lamoureux was pleased with the sixth place finish of the boys in what he described as a tough field, and for the second meet in a row the girls had enough runners to qualify for a team score.

Senior Noah Hinote led the boys’ team with a ninth place finish in 18:45.60 for the five kilometers (3.1 miles). Sophomore Brady Carstensen was 16th in 19:10.40, and both earned meals that went to the top 20 finishers. Freshman Nick Black was 42nd in 20:41.30, followed by junior Carter Hinote, 46th in 20:47.90, and 61st place Jayden Koller, a junior in 22:00.70. The Ogden boys won the team title with 66 points. The Rams were sixth among 13 squads with 169 points.

Freshman Riley Mowrer has been the top Ram female runner in every meet so far this season. Mowrer was 36th in 25:28.10, followed by senior Ava Jablonski, 55th in 28:34.50, sophomore Evelyn Snyder, 66th in 30:48.44, junior Leah McCormick, 77th in 36:30.40, and freshman Cora Powers, 78th in 37:27.80. . The girls were 12th among 12 teams with 298 points. Van Meter won the girls’ title with 41 points.
