Woodbine visits Paton-Churdan in Churdan tonight for Rolling Valley Activities Conference volleyball. Coach Makayla Sparr’s Rockets are 2-3 on the season and 0-2 in conference action after starting the season 2-0. Woodbine is 1-0 in the conference and stands at 5-9 overall.

A young Paton-Churdan team has just one senior with more sophomores than juniors, Much of the roster is the same as a season ago when the Rockets were even younger. Sophomore Alivya Smith and junior Mia Russell are the Rockets’ statistical leaders in multiple categories.

The coach has seen the schedule grow tougher recently and she’s looking for her team to respond positively.
