It’s Homecoming Week with the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center School District.

The theme for this year is “Saddle Up for AC/GC in the Wild West.” Dress up days started on Monday with Pajama Day for the elementary and junior high buildings, while it was “Rock, Paper, Scissors Day” at the high school. Today is Color Day at all the buildings in the district, with a list of the colors for each class can be found in this story online.

Wednesday is “Wild West Day” across the district, with Thursday being “Hat Day” at the elementary and junior high buildings, and “Farm Animal Day” at the high school. Friday is “Charger Spirit Day” across the district. To finish off the week, the Homecoming Dance will be on Saturday from 7-11pm at the high school.

There has already been one pep rally, with three more during the rest of the week, one for each building and one overall for the district. The high school’s pep rally was yesterday at 3pm, along with the announcement of the Homecoming Court, which can be found in this story online. The Guthrie Center Elementary pep rally will be at 9am tomorrow, while the Adair – Casey Elementary and AC/GC Junior High pep rally will be Thursday at 10am. The Homecoming parade will begin at 2:15pm on Friday, with a pep rally and tailgate to follow at the football stadium, and the Homecoming game against the South Central Calhoun Titans will begin at 7pm, with Coronation of the Homecoming King and Queen at halftime of the game.
