The now 9-3 Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs volleyball team faced off against the ADM Tigers twice last week, and fell to the Tigers 3-1 on Thursday at home and 2-1 at the Southeast Polk Invitational on Saturday.

On Thursday, the Mustangs would come out with a fire, claiming victory in the first set 25-21. The Tigers would not be detained, coming back to win the next three street sets, 25-23, 25-22 and 25-23. The Mustangs would be lead by senior Maliya Carlson who had an average of 4.5 kills per set and junior Jacey McFarland who had an average of 3 kills per set. McFarland would also lead the Mustangs in blocks with 4 during the match.

On Saturday at Southeast Polk High School, Dallas Center-Grimes faced off against ADM again and fell 2-1. The Tigers would win the first set this time, 21-15. The Mustangs would be fueled by this first set and would come back to win the second 21-17. The Tigers would claim victory in the final set with a score of 15-12.

The now 9-4 Mustangs prepare for action at home tomorrow as they face off against the 5-10 Oskaloosa Indians. The action is set to begin at 7:15pm.
