Applications for a travel opportunity for those in the West Central Valley School District are open.
Stuart Library Foundation Member Russ Wagner says that individuals aged 18-25 living in the district can stop by the library to pick up a pamphlet for the International Travel Scholarship, or begin the application process online. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that this is a three step process, and what happens once the initial applications are received by October 7th.
“We review the submissions, Those that are chosen go to phase two, which is a more in depth analysis on the participants behalf, on expenses, where they want to go, things that they’ll do, the costs associated with that, if it’ll be a solo trip or if they’ll be a part of a group, etc.”
Wagner mentions that this second step in the process needs to be completed by October 14th, where the applications will once again be reviewed. Finalists will then be chosen, and the announcement of the individuals that will be receiving the International Travel Scholarship will happen on November 22nd.
