The 0-3 Dallas Center Grimes Mustang football team continue to strive for their first win of the season after falling to the now 2-1 Fort Dodge Dodgers at Dodger Stadium last night. The Mustangs would have the lead until the forth quarter, and a pick six thrown by Tate Perrin in the final minutes of the fourth quarter would be the nail in the coffin for the Mustangs.

The Dodgers would score first, and would do so in less than a minute in the first quarter as junior Noah Daniel would score the first touchdown for the Dodgers. Mustang quarter Chase Engel would find Valenta in the end zone to tie the game 7-7 in the first quarter. The Mustangs would keep the Dodgers contained and score two more touchdowns with Perrin connecting with Valenta for a touchdown and even rushing on his own to bring the score to 17-13 in the fourth quarter. Perrin would throw an interception which would be returned for a touchdown to close out the match up 20-17.

The Mustangs look for their first win of the season in week four as they host the Ballard Bombers on Friday. Coverage will begin on KDLS2 at 6pm.
