The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Cross Country team ran strong at the third meet of the season in Ames on Thursday.

The Tigers finished fourth out of 19 teams, in the Gilbert Invitational with a total of 144 points. Senior Torin Timmerman captured first on ADM, 11th overall in the 5K (3.1 miles) with a time of 16:18. Junior Robbie Hall was 30th overall (17:09), Junior Ty Landphair finished 32nd (17:10), Sophomore Max Marple was 34th (17:15), Freshman Dain Holdmeyer was 42nd (17:28) with Junior Nick Subbert right behind in 43rd (17:30). Also, Senior Isaac Chapman was 46th (17:35), Senior Keegan Holdmeyer was 48th (17:36), and Sophomore Ty Miller rounded out the top 50 with a time of 17:43.

The Tigers have marked a top-five place finish as a team through the first three meets of the season. ADM will be in Ballard on Monday racing against 21 teams.
