For the first time ever, the Jefferson Public Library is having a pre-sale event ahead of its annual Fall Book Sale later this month.

Library Director Jane Millard says due to generous donors in the community, the library is hosting a Children’s Books and Scrapbooking Supply Sale tomorrow and Saturday. She invites anyone who is interested in getting a wide range of children’s books to stop by the basement of the library from 1-5:30pm tomorrow and 9am-1pm on Saturday. Additionally, Millard notes there is quite a bit of scrapbooking supplies such as three-ringed binders, stickers, scrapbooking paper of all sizes, among other items will be available for purchase.

“These need new homes. And so if you are a homeschool educator, a librarian, a crafter, a scrapbooker, anyone is welcomed to come in. The prices will be great on this and we need to get these things moved out of the room that the book sale will be in the following week so that we have space. We are overstocked and we want to share.”

Millard adds all proceeds will go back to the Friends of the Library for supplemental purchases of needed and additional items for the library.
