A deadline for record books for Adair County 4-H’ers is fast approaching.

Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage says that with the start of the new 4-H year, members need to wrap up their record books from the previous year. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio why members need to get these turned in.

“This is an important part of the 4-H experience. It’s where members gather up all of their materials, their write ups from their projects over the past year, and they really showcase all the hard work they’ve put into everything.”

Savage mentions that by getting their record books turned in, it allows members to be eligible for different awards at the Adair County 4-H Awards Night. She adds that the record books must be turned in by the end of the day on October 1st.
