The Guthrie County Secondary Roads Department began repairs to White Pole Road in Stuart Monday.
According to Guthrie County Engineer Josh Sebern, these repairs continue a project the department began last year, before the weather changed and they were unable to continue. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio why they are resuming the project, besides that it needed to be finished.
“It seemed to work very well. It held up, and I think it’s a really good repair because it uses hot mix asphalt. We improvised our own paving equipment and stuff to make that happen. It worked well.”
Sebern mentions that what they did last year was fill ruts in White Pole Road from Division Street west, and that these current repairs will be done from Division Street to the east.
