A Perry man was taken into custody on Friday following an incident involving his wife.
According to court documents, officers responded to a call along Vine Street in Perry regarding harassment Friday evening around 8:40pm. Court documents state that 31-year-old Dakota Armstrong allegedly called his wife multiple times threatening to physically harm her. Officers say that Armstrong verbally told his wife that he was going to “wrap his hands around her throat” and hoped that she’d call the cops so he could harm them as well.
The court documents show that officers were monitoring a phone call where Armstrong allegedly accused his wife of being unfaithful in their relationship. The communication violated a no-contact order in early August.
Armstrong was placed under arrest for an aggravated misdemeanor of harassment in the first degree. He is being held in the Dallas County Jail on a $4,000 cash or surety bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
