A Perry man was taken into custody on Thursday following an incident at the elementary school.

According to court documents, 34-year-old Trayon Louis-Allen Nash allegedly entered Perry Elementary without permission at approximately 8:05am. Court documents state that Nash was at the school to pick up his child, but was told by school staff that he was not allowed to. A Perry Police Officer escorted Nash to the main school entrance, where he became verbally disruptive.

Court documents show that students who were near the area were transferred to the office by a female victim and Nash lunged towards her. The suspect was subdued by law enforcement and was placed under arrest for three simple misdemeanors including assault of fear of immediate contact, assault for insulting offensive contact, and obstruction of emergency communications.

Nash is being held in the Dallas County Jail on a $300 cash-only bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
