The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs traveled to Newton and defeated the Cardinals 3-1 in volleyball action. The Mustang volleyball team, now ranked number 9 were dominate in the first two sets, winning the first 25-18 then 25-13 in the second. The Cardinals would bounce back in the third set, to claim a 25-21 victory over the Mustangs, but this just served as motivation for Dallas Center-Grimes who would would win the fourth set 25-22.

Mustang seniors Landry Glasgow and Maliya Carlson led the team in kills against the Cardinals with 17 and 16 respectively. Sophomore Gwen Farley also had a great night offensively, leading the team with 53 assists on the night.

The Mustangs prepare for their next volleyball match up scheduled for Tuesday, September 10th as the Mustangs travel to Pella to take on the number 11 ranked Dutch.
