The City of Casey will be celebrating after finishing the renovations to the City Park.
Casey Grant Committee Co-Chair Kasey Peterson says that the Casey Parks Committee will host a celebration event on September 22nd from 11am to 4pm with a ribbon cutting. She mentions why they wanted to have this kind of recognition after the park renovations were completed.
“A lot of support from locals and a lot of in kind donations and folks that are in the construction field willing to come in and donate the time and the equipment that we needed to get all of the work done in the park, and so we’ve had lots of people stepping up to help.”
Peterson mentions that there will be live music from Garret and the Relics from 1-4pm, and a free lunch will be provided to the public by the Casey Service Club as a way of showing thanks for the much appreciated support and many donations of time, labor and items. There will also be activities for children, including inflatables and face painting, local vendors with items like canned goods, jewelry, baked goods and crafts for sale.
