Greene County volleyball went 1-3 in matches and 2-6 in sets on Tuesday night at Kuemper Catholic in Carroll. The Rams opened with 16-21, 12-21 vs. the host Knights. The only win of the night came next vs. Ogden 21-12, 21-9, then came a 14-21, 7-21 loss to Roland-Story (Story City), with an evening ending loss to Ames High by 15-21, 11-21 scores.

The Rams had a first set opportunity to tie the Knights late with Greene County serving and trailing 16-17, but the serve went into the net and the Knights and Greene County did not score the rest of the set.

Greene County was not seriously challenged in either set vs. Ogden and ace serves were a factor with five in each set for the Rams.

Set one vs. R-S was tied 11-11, but the Norsemen took over by scoring   10 of the last 13 points.

The Rams weren’t able to stay with the Class 5A Little Cyclones in either set.

So far this season the Rams are 2-5 in matches and 4-10 in sets.
