The Perry City Council met in regular session on Tuesday.
The council came to a decision to set the Safety/Employee Appreciation Day for November 6th at 10:30am. Other items on the agenda that were approved included a change order for the 2024 Street Repairs for -$5,49 to incorporate additional parking areas and surface restorations at the Perry Municipal Airport, a pay application for completion of primary grading for trails in the amount of $136,230.80 to Sandstone Management, and a pay application for $76,984.10 to Iowa Earth Works for the Frog Creek Restoration project.
Additional items approved pertain to a contract with Region 12 for Planning and Administrative Assistance, a resolution grant agreement from the Federal Aviation Association towards the 2024 Airport Infrastructure grant for $46,500, and a work order for the 2025 terminal building expansion and rehabilitation for $60,000.
More approved items on the agenda relate to a solar power and services agreement with Red Lion Perry Solar II, LLC for the Wastewater Treatment Plant in the amount of $61,000, tax abatement applications for residential construction, and an environmental and climate justice community change grant to the Environmental Protection Agency not to exceed $22,500,000.
