Saturday is another fun event hosted by the Stuart People for Active Library Service (PALS).
The PALS are bringing in presenter Tom Milligan for his third appearance at the library. PALS member Kathy Johnson tells Raccoon Valley Radio that Milligan has been very popular the other times he’s been there, and that he does an excellent job presenting on the person who is the topic of interest for the program
“He just creates the character for you. You will be in a room with Ding Darling, having a visit like you’re an old friend.”
Johnson mentions that the program Milligan is presenting this time is “Cartoons and Conservation: A Visit with Ding Darling.” Darling is credited with starting the duck stamp program that helps fund conservation grounds for waterfowl, and writing many cartoons focused on conservation as well. The program will begin at 10am at the Stuart Public Library.
