There were a few projects at the buildings in the Adair – Casey / Guthrie Center Community School District that wrapped up shortly before the school year started.

Superintendent Josh Rasmussen says that in the August School Board meeting, he shared with the Boards about these projects. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio about the project at the high school building.

“We currently have our high school HVAC put in, the new air handling units for some air conditioning. Those are all three up and running, so the good thing is we’ll have some air conditioning there in the band area, in the auditorium and in the office areas of our building. So that was something that was started last spring, and it’s completed there and up and running.”

Rasmussen mentions that another project that was finished was the new bleachers at the Adair – Casey Elementary and AC/GC Junior High building, which put in new metal bleachers. He adds that the final payment for the bleacher project was also approved at the August meeting.
