Perry Elementary’s Principal Laura Skeel is in her first year and speaks about her love for the community.
Skeel has been involved within the Perry school district for the past 10 years. She says that she accepted the elementary principal position in April after former Principal Ryan Marzen announced his departure.
Skeel describes that during the summer, she spent time learning from Marzen as well as Associate Principal Morgan Rinker and Dean of Students Chris Aggen. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that her favorite aspect about Perry Schools is that the students enjoy being there.
“They love seeing their teachers, they love being in the classroom. The teachers are excited, the kids are excited. They form a great bond and relationship with their teachers and with their staff, and it really makes it a great place to be.”
Skeel is impressed with the Perry staff members that go above and beyond to provide needs for the approximately 900 students enrolled in the elementary school. She is truly grateful for each staff member employed at Perry Schools that help make her job easier.
