
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Cross Country team opened the season in Johnston on Saturday, placing well.
The Tigers finished in second place behind the host school of Johnston on their home course. ADM scored 85 points as a team and had four runners race into the top 20. The Tigers were led by Freshmen Elliotte Von Roden, who placed eighth (8th) running a time of 20:46. Sophomore Allie Eggleston was 14th (21:20), Senior Ella Goodrich was 16th (21:27), and it Sophomore Addy Bjork tallying a 17th place finish (21:34). ADM also had Senior Mackealin Sutton (23:10), Senior Evelyn Horgen (23:26), and Sophomore Alexa Williams (24:09) all ran exceptionally well for the Tigers.
The schools that finished behind ADM included Earlham, Mason City, Southeast Polk, Bondurant-Farrar, and Ogden. The Tigers will be in action this coming Saturday (Sept. 7th) in Pella at the Central College Cross Country Course at 9am.
