The Adel Public Library’s Summer Reading Program is now done, as the final total points to a successful turnout.

The library’s theme for the summer revolved around the world, traveling to different places. The organization held a kickoff back in early June, which Patron Services Manager Amy Puck says approximately 400 participants attended. Now that the fun event is over, Programming Specialist Lily Schwarz reveals the final numbers.

“We had about 1500 total signups across all age ranges, 550 completions. And then at our summer pool party, we had over 300 attendees, so it was a really successful summer.”

Schwarz is grateful to all the people who volunteered their time to dedicate themselves to the program, plus the sponsors who made it possible for the event to happen.
