A reminder for the Perry community to show their team spirit with a citywide event on Monday.
RVTV is coming to Perry on Labor Day and Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti notes that the day will begin at 11am on Willis Avenue. Pasutti highlights that the bulk of the entertainment is set to happen between 3-10pm, revealing that the Perry Youth Football Team has a fun incentive for people.
“They are putting together a field goal kick (contest). For the first 250 kickers that are testing out whether they can get that field goal, they will all get free footballs.”
Pasutti adds that the Perry Booster Club is presenting a pizza party to whichever school class has the most attendees.
“Kids are encouraged to check in at the booster club tent, and say ‘hey, I’m here, I’m in first grade, (and) I want to win a pizza party.”
More activities include a human foosball tournament, bingo, mini golf, face painting, ax throwing, jeopardy, a glow foam party, lots of food vendors, a beer garden, kids activities, live music from Rukkus and the Al Welsch Orchestra, the Perry High School Pep Rally, a car and tractor show, and the Perry Fire Association is hosting a car smashing competition. The event will be held on 2nd Street, between Willis Avenue and Warford Street. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Lil Big Red Radio will be on location broadcasting live from 3-7pm.
