A fun outdoor, family-friendly event is taking place in the City of Adel tonight and tomorrow.
The Adel Breakout Rodeo will have gates opening both nights at 5pm, with mutton-busting at 6pm, then the rodeo at 7:30pm. According to organizers and the Wright Rodeo Company, children must be eight years old or younger and weigh no more than 80 pounds in order to participate in the mutton-busting.
For musical entertainment, Jordan Beem will take the stage behind the grandstands following the conclusion of the rodeo tonight, and Travis Klingson will perform tomorrow. Kids ages five and under get in for free, ages 6-11 costs $5 and people 12 and older are $10. The rodeo will be held on the Dallas County Fairgrounds, 28057 Fairgrounds Road, in Adel.
