An augural event that was held in Grand Junction Wednesday night brought hundreds of people to the downtown area.

Channel Seed Field Service Representative Savannah Lyons tells Raccoon Valley Radio the Channel Customer Appreciation event was hosted by Dustin Fouch of Fouch Agriservice, where between 1,500 and 2,000 Channel customers from 14 states attended. She says the program started at 4:30pm inside the Fouch Agriservice buildings on Main Street with speakers that presented information on agriculture-related topics, then the musical acts of Levi Riggs, followed by the country band legend of Blackhawk took the stage at night.

Lyons describes the event that was unlike anything she has ever helped plan before and couldn’t be more proud of how everything was executed without any hiccups. She points out that the biggest concern they had was providing enough space on Main Street for the massive crowd, which she adds never was an issue.

Lyons thanks everyone and all entities involved for participating and helping to run the event as smoothly as it went. She says her and Fouch being from Grand Junction, it gave her goosebumps to have the backing of Channel and her hometown to pull something like this off.
