Coach Makayla Spaar’s Paton-Churdan volleyball program opens the 2024 season at home vs. Storm Lake St. Mary’s. The JV match is at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity to follow. One of these teams will end a long losing streak tonight as the Panthers went 0-16 last season and the Rockets were 0-14.

Coach Spaar told Raccoon Valley Radio she and the players are excited to get underway. “We have nearly everyone back from last year and we’ve added a few new players including sophomore Alivya Smith who missed all of last season due to injury. Even though our team is still mostly juniors and sophomores, at  least most of them have a year of varsity experience under their belts.”
