Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Senior Cross Country Runner Ella Goodrich suggests that the team possess a family bond.

Goodrich tells Raccoon Valley Radio that from the first day of practice on August 12th, the other girls on the team were very radiant and stoked for the upcoming season. She expresses that the coaching staff challenges them in practice, while also showing compassion.

“Pushing us to be our best in helping support us and giving us break days and helping us with good workouts and stuff, and being there not just as coaches but as kind of family, so they’ve been really helpful with that too.”

Goodrich doubles down on team bonding activities being her favorite way to connect with the rest of the Tigers team. She has a personal goal of running under 20 minutes in the 5K (3.1 miles) this year and help ADM return to the state meet. The first meet for the Tigers is taking place on Saturday at 8am at Johnston High School.
