With the Labor Day Holiday happening on Monday, many businesses in Dallas County are set to be closed.

For the City of Perry, Perry City Hall, the Perry Water Works Office, the Perry Public Library, and the McCreary Community Building (MCB) will not be open on Monday. However, the MCB will still have the 24-Hour Fitness Room available for people 18 years or older to use. In relation to the holiday, Monday’s Perry City Council meeting is moving to Tuesday at 6pm in the Towncraft Building, 1122 Willis Avenue, in Perry. 

Garbage routes in Perry will be shifted with Monday’s scheduled route to be pushed to Tuesday, then Tuesday will move to Wednesday. The city announces that no yard waste pickup will happen on Wednesday. Other closures in Dallas County include Adel City Hall, the Adel Public Library, the Dallas County Iowa State University Extension Office, and the Dallas County Courthouse.
