A fun debut event is going on tomorrow in the City of Perry.
Whiterock Conservancy, out of Coon Rapids, is partnering with the Hotel Pattee, in Perry, to bring “Rock the Courtyard” to life. The first time program is taking place tomorrow from 5-8:30pm along Willis Avenue (1118 Willis Ave), in Perry. Whiterock Conservancy Executive Director Kate Zimmerman describes the activities that will be there.
“We’re going to have Stadium Drive here, which is a local folk band from Panora, and we’re going to have some signature drinks that Hotel Pattee has put together for us. They are named after our trail systems, so two of our trail systems, the Red Rock Spur, will be a whiskey based drink, and the Shooting Star Mule, which will be more of a fruity drink.”
Jenny Eklund, with the Hotel Pattee, says that they will cater the food.
“We’re just going to do a big appetizer charcuterie table, and then we’re also going to have our popcorn lady. She’ll be having popcorn in the courtyard also.”
Zimmerman details that Whiterock Conservancy has a board member on staff with Perry ties, and encouraged them to contact the Hotel Pattee to kickstart this event. The program is free to attend and open to the public. For more information, contact the Hotel Pattee at (515)-465-3511.
