A local organization in the City of Perry recently gave a donation to help food assistance in the community.

The third quarter 100+ People for Perry meeting was held on Monday at Hotel Pattee to support the Perry Emergency Food Pantry. Organization members awarded the food pantry $6,000 to contribute with the purchase of commodities. The purpose of the Perry Food Pantry is to provide food assistance for people in need and around the community. According to 100+ People for Perry, after 35 meetings, the group has pledged $239,900 to 34 local nonprofit projects. 

The fourth quarter meeting, which will be the last of the year, is taking place on November 25th at 7pm inside Hotel Pattee. Anyone who is interested in joining 100+ People for Perry can contact organizers Linda Kaufman (kaufmanlinda1948@gmail.com) or Tom Lipovac (tom.lipovac@gmail.com).
