Newly appointed Perry High School Principal Brad Snowgren is thankful for the support as he transitions into the new school year.

Snowgren has been the associate principal for Perry High School for the past six years, before being selected as the next principal following the tragic loss of longtime Principal Dan Marburger. Marburger was killed in the January 4th shooting, which also saw sixth grader Ahmir Jolliff unfortunately lose his life as well. Snowgren tells Raccoon Valley Radio that it’s been a trying time for the whole district, but is appreciative of the tremendous backing the staff displays towards him.

“We all came together. We’re just a great close-knit teaching group and faculty, and there was so much support from them and I tried to support them the best that we can. And that’s one highlight that I would say that our high school has, we really support each other on a day to day basis in all the things that we do. From filling in when teachers are sick to collaborating on ideas, and just the support in general in the building is amazing.”

With the 2024-25 school year underway, this is the first full year that Snowgren will assume his duties as high school principal.
