A donation was recently made to a facility that provides a safe and fun environment for young people in Jefferson.
According to Carole Custer with Beta Tau Delta, the Greene County sorority donated $1,400 to the Webb House. Custer says Beta Tau Delta is committed to helping the youth in the county and the Webb House is a place where middle school students can go for fun. Co-Founder of the Webb House Jim North says there are several arcade games, computer and game consoles, outdoor games with gaga ball and several others, along with food and drink for purchase. Beta Tau Delta is celebrating its 107th anniversary this year.
The Webb House is open 3:30 to 5:30pm on Wednesdays for 5th through 8th grades and 7-9pm on Fridays for 6th through 8th graders and it is supervised by adult chaperones.
