A reminder that a fun annual event is taking place today in the City of Perry.
Hispanics United for Perry is the group behind the Latino Festival to celebrate the multitude of cultures within the community. The festival will begin at 10am with the parade along 12th Street and Willis Avenue by the Hamlin Bell Apartments, then head into Pattee Park. Raccoon Valley Radio will make an appearance during the parade. Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti entices people to come observe the diversity.
“Celebrate the different cultures here in Perry. Come and celebrate the togetherness, support the Hispanics United for Perry, and all the different groups that are out to be apart of the event, so just encourage people to check it out. If nothing else, the food is great. Definitely need to plan on your lunch and dinner there for sure.”
Pasutti mentions that events in Pattee Park will go from 11am-7pm including music, dancers, kids activities, and lots of food from an array of different vendors. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
