The Guthrie County Historical Village (GCHV) Foundation is hosting a fundraiser tonight.
The event is at the Historical Village and Museum from 5-7pm and kicks off with tours of the village and the Cass No. 7 School. GCHV Foundation Board Member Rod Stanley will then give a presentation titled “History of Guthrie County Country Schools” after the tour at 5:15pm. Refreshments including old-fashioned root beer floats, hot dogs and other beverages, along with a musical performance from guitar and fiddle duo “Vintage Voices” beginning at 6pm. Proceeds from the event will be used to help move the Baker No. 2 School from its current location in the floodplain at the Guthrie County Fairgrounds to the west side of the fairgrounds where it will be restored.
