Perry cross country is gearing up for their first competition. Coach Nathan Krohn is hoping for a good start to the season, but he understands the boys should be running their best as the season moves along. “That one (Southeast Valley Invite) is not really important in my mind, it’s just kind of that bar that you set for the rest of the season. It kind of just sets the tone for the rest of the season. My eyes are on October that’s where I want us to be meeting those final goals.”
The first meet for Perry is scheduled for this upcoming Thursday. The Bluejays and Jayettes travel to Gowrie as they are one of 16 schools in action. In total, there are 10 meets before before State qualifying on October 23.
