Perry football looks to build off a season where they went 2-7.  The Bluejays have their third head coach in as many years.  Coach Vannornam is hopeful to have one of the better seasons of recent memory.  “I would love obviously a .500 season.  That’s my goal.”  The Bluejays last reached 4 wins in 2017 and haven’t made the playoffs since 2011.  Vannornam also shared another personnel goal.  “I love that the kids have set their goals for what they want and my goal is to make those goals happen and how we’re going to go about those things.”

Game action begins in just over a week for Perry.  They open the season at Des Moines Hoover.  KDLS and the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network will have the broadcast on Thursday, August 29th.
