The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session today.
The Board will consider for approval a liquor license for the Adair Casey Tour Abroad Group, Inc, then hear from Alfred and Sharon Wessling on concerns for the proposed carbon dioxide pipeline by Summit Carbon Solution. After that, the Board will introduce Riley Gibson from Summit Carbon Solutions for an introduction and discussion session going over their proposed pipeline.
The Board will then review a resolution objecting to the Iowa Utilities Board’s authority to enact eminent domain authority within Guthrie County for privately owned and operated carbon dioxide pipelines. They will also hear Conservation Director Brad Halterman’s annual report, consider for approval an appeal from the Zoning Administrator decision for a building permit at 1313 Fig Avenue, and once again discuss the emergency medical services system ballot measure for the upcoming November general election.
The meeting will begin at 9am in the courtroom on the top floor of the Guthrie County Courthouse. For those unable to attend in person, there is a digital option available via Microsoft Teams. Raccoon Valley Radio will have results from the meeting tomorrow.
